Agree who handles export documents, import arrangements and destination payments. Door delivery alone does not establish that duties and taxes are included.

Clarify appointment needs, vehicle access and who unloads. Include any split delivery or warehouse booking requirements in the initial inquiry.

The exact point where the service ends
Identify the address and physical handover point, not just the city. Confirm vehicle access, opening hours, unloading equipment and whether movement inside the premises is requested. Where the proposal ends at a building entrance or loading area, assign the remaining work before accepting the plan.
Responsibilities and excluded payments
Have the proposal name the importer contact, document responsibilities and the party handling each destination step. Identify duties, taxes, clearance, storage and appointment-related charges as included, excluded or awaiting confirmation. Resolve unclear items in writing rather than assuming the destination address makes them part of the service.
A receiving and exception plan
Share the receiving contact and package list before delivery is arranged. Agree how missed appointments, inaccessible sites, shortages or visible damage should be reported, and who can approve a revised instruction. For several addresses, map the cartons to each receiver and keep a separate handover record for each stop.

Does door delivery include duties and taxes?
Check the written scope and agreed responsibilities. Have duties, taxes, clearance work and destination payments identified separately; the delivery address alone does not define them.
Is unloading included?
Describe what the receiving site can provide and ask for the unloading responsibility to be stated. Special vehicles, lifting equipment or restricted access need separate confirmation.
What if the delivery address changes?
Send the new address and receiving conditions before dispatch whenever possible. Request a revised scope and cost confirmation before assuming the original arrangement still applies.
